Registration
The registration fee for this year’s conference includes Thursday
continental breakfast, lunch, breaks, Exhibitor Reception, dinner,
Friday continental breakfast, break, as well as all conference materials.
The registration fee for this year’s conference is $75 for current
ILMA members. If you are not currently an ILMA member, the registration
fee is $95, which includes a one-year, individual ILMA membership.
If you wish to only attend one day of the conference the registration
fee is $60. There is an additional $15 registration fee if you decide
to attend one of Wednesday’s workshops. You can register for Wednesday’s
workshop even if you do not plan to attend the conference. For attendees
bringing a guest who does not wish to attend the conference, meal plans
($60) are available.
Be sure to register soon as conference/workshop
and hotel availability are limited. Payment can be made by check
(mail) or charge (fax or mail). Cancellations will be subject to a $20
service fee up until February 17, 2010, after which no refund will be

Location
The "Friendliest Hotel in Naperville" offers the best value
and service. Located off the I-88 Expressway, the hotel offers the easiest
access in the area. Its beautifully appointed guest rooms feature all
brand-new bedding and linen and offer the most space of any hotel in
the area. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available to all
guests, and they are a 100% nonsmoking hotel.
Conference attendees will
receive a special room rate of $89.00 if reservations are made by February
8, 2010 and be sure to mention the Illinois Lake Management Associa
tion Conference when making res- ervations. A limited number of government
rate rooms will be available, proper identification will be required.

Nightlife….there will be a free shuttle
service to and from downtown Naperville both Wednesday and Thursday
nights. Naperville’s downtown offers an array of shopping, dining,
and cultural activities to fit every budget. From well known retail
shops to unique boutiques, Naperville’s mix of beckons even the
most hesitant shopper. World class parks and unique cultural opportunities
make Naperville the destination of choice for both residents and visitors.
On a nice day, thousands of people come into town to stroll along the
picturesque Riverwalk.
Silent Auction
As in the past, we are looking for donated items for the Silent Auction benefiting
the ILMA Scholarship Fund. Items will be available for bidding all day Thursday
during the conference and Friday until 10:00 am and the winners will be announced
at noon. Donated items may be brought with you to the conference and dropped
off at the registration desk. Remember — all proceeds from this event
go to the ILMA Scholarship Funds, so please be generous in your donations and
bidding! If you have an item to donate, please contact Bob Wittenborn at (618)

Photo Contest
This is for all of you avid photographers out there. We know you all
have great lake/water related photos laying around. Why not show them
off to the rest of the world! The first place entry will receive $50
and be featured on the cover of the 2011 Conference Program! There
will also be prizes for the second and third place photos.
Contest Rules:
• Photo
submissions must be lake/water related and have been taken in the State
of Illinois
• Limit TWO photos per attendee
• Photos must be
submitted on 8x10 photographic paper (B&W or color)
• Submission
deadline is February 24, 2010. No late entries will be accepted
• Include

EPA and Illinois EPA. Hear governments, the Arboretum, and lake associations

Marcus de la fleur; de la fleur LLC, Chicago, Illinois
With its green roof, rain barrels, rain gardens, and other "green" applications,
this residential pilot project in Elmhurst brings to life the principles of responsible
treatment of rain water within a residential landscape. Marcus will speak about
the rationales of the applied sustain able practices, explain how to make a yard
not only beautiful but useful and "green",
and de scribe and quantify the larger cumulative effect of changing to "green".
Marcus de la fleur is a Registered Landscape Architect, running his own design
and consulting firm (de la fleur LLC) in Chicago, IL. He received his horticultural
degree from the School of Horticulture at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and
obtained his Masters in Landscape Architecture at the University of Sheffield,
UK. Marcus has contributed to the design and management of multiple sustainable
projects and has extensive field experience in sustainable technologies through
his past work in Germany, Switzerland, and Great Britain.
