In accordance with the 1999 revised bylaws of the
Illinois Lake Management Association, the membership is hereby
encouraged to submit self-nominations for the Association's Board
of Directors. Article VIII, Section B, states members may nominate
only themselves. The bylaws also require that the Board elect
officers annually from amongst themselves. A copy of the Operations
Manual for Officers, Directors, and Committees of the Illinois
Lake Management Association will be forwarded to those self-nominating
or upon request.
The terms for the 2006 Board of Directors will begin immediately
following the Association's Annual Meeting on March 11th, 2006,
at Eagle Creek Resort & Conference Center on Lake Shelbyville
in Findlay, IL. In 2007, four Directors will be elected. Those
four candidates receiving the most votes will be elected to three-year
terms.
Nominations should include name, address, telephone numbers, and
signature of the nominee. In addition to the above, the nominee
should submit a short explanation (100 words maximum) of his/her
interest and involvement in lakes and lake management. There should
also be a statement (100 words maximum) of how the nominee plans
to further the goals of ILMA and how she/he expects to contribute
